Afforestation

VINAFOR posseses 150,000 ha of forest and forestry land allocated in provinces through out the country from North to South, namely Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Gia Lai, Doang Nai, etc. In addition to the plantation conducted by affiliated forest enterprises, VINAFOR also develops the contractual relationship in afforestation with over 20 forest entities and thousands of households in which VINAFOR provides investment fund and take care exclusively the marketing of logs upon harvestation.

VINAFOR's afforestation is always oriented toward the ECONOMIC - SOCIAL - ENVIRONMENTAL objective, participating to realization of the Government's program of fixed settlement and cultivation; hunger elimination and poverty reduction for mountainous inhabitants.

The forest area of VINAFOR is increasingly expanded. Forest grows with high quality and yield, from which logs are harvested for constant supply to wood processing industry, pulp and paper industry, coal-mining and other demands of the society.
